Popgeni är inte så mycket för det där hysteriska samlandet. Men det är ändå kul att se vad gamla poprariteter kan inbringa när galenskapen släpps lös. Nu kan man gå till Wikicollecting och titta på värderingar och annat.
De har listat det de tror är det dyraste med anknytning först till Beatles. Och sedan finns där flera artiklar med värdefulla noteringar gällande olika artister - nedan visar vi några noteringar gällandel Rolling Stones.

Wikicollecting har gjort den här listan över det mest värdefulla som finns med anknytning till Beatles:

1) John Lennon’s Rolls-Royce Phantom V – $2.23 million

In 1985, a psychedelic hand-painted Rolls-Royce Phantom V owned by John Lennon was sold by Sotheby’s.

It was bought by Canadian businessman Jim Pattison for $2.23 million.

2) The piano John Lennon used to write Imagine - $2.1 million

The Steinway piano owned by John Lennon was sold by an auction house owned by Mick Fleetwood, of Fleetwood Mac, in October 2000.

The piano was bought for $2.1 million by singer George Michael.

3) John Lennon’s handwritten lyrics to “A Day in the life” - $1,202,500

The handwritten "A Day in the Life" lyrics to the final track on Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band were sold at a Sotheby’s New York sale in June 2010.

They sold for $1,202,500.

4) Drum skin which appears on the cover of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band - £541,250

On 10 July 2008, the hand painted drum skin, designed by artist Joe Ephgrave was sold at a Christie’s auction for £541,250, nearly four times its pre-sale estimate.

5) George Harrison’s Gibson SG guitar - $567,500

A 1964 Gibson SG guitar played by George Harrison between 1966 and 1969 was sold at a Christie’s New York sale on 17 December 2004.

The guitar, which sold for $567,500, was used by Harrison during the Revolver recording session and The Beatles’ last official UK concert. It was later played by John Lennon during the White Album sessions in 1969.

At a Sotheby's sale in February 2009 Andy Warhol's acrylic and silkscreen ink on canvas 'MICK JAGGER', stamped by the Andy Warhol Art Authentication Board, Inc., and numbered A112.056 on the overlap, sold for £797,250, against an estimate of £500,000 - £700,000

Autographs and signed manuscripts

A collection of correspondence between Brian Jones and a fan called Martha sold for $3,300 in Los Angeles, in 2007.The letters - consigned by Martha herself - sold with along with a magazine, The Rolling Stones Book, signed by Jones.

The letters included the following:

"Yes, I remember meeting Terry, / and he did stay with me for a / while, but I don't know where / he is now. I think he went / back to America, I'm not sure," writes Jones in blue ballpoint ink. The letters were sold in their original transmittal envelopes with relative postmarks (ie "London / 27 4 '66").1

Memorabilia

A rare poster for the Rolling Stones at the Queens Hall, Leeds (1964) measuring 30 x 40 inches, this piece of early-'60s rock history auctioned in London, 2008, for £7,800 at Bonhams' offices in Knightsbridge, London.2

Clothing

Mick Jagger's jacket, worn onstage during the group's European tour of 1967, was sold with a photograph of Jagger by Bonhams for £10,800 in London, 2005
